Detail 1993 corolla

I picked this car up from my cousin for dirt cheap as my beater. The car was oxidized pretty bad. I ordered some opt stuff from exceldetail but I got pretty impatient and used what I had. I started with 3m compound with a orange pad on the hood and it just killed the pad, so I said screw it and threw on a lambswool pad which cut through pretty good without causing bad swirls, I followed with 3m compund on a orange pad, Danase wet glaze and some Four star UPP.

Wow... that looks pretty damn good. My mother has a 86 BMW that looks just like the before pic, same color and everything. I might have to try doing it now. Good work!

Nice Job! What kind of Rotary do you have and what speeds did you use for the correcting?

I have a portercable I started at 3 and I bumped it to 6 until the product breaks down. My pads are a mix of lake country and erasure pads.

Nice work. How cheap is "dirt cheap"? Thats a great reliable beater car that gets good gas mileage. I hope to find a deal like that.

that is pretty amazing, ive seen so many cars like that, early 90s with oxidation all over, and never really thought that it could still be removed and made to shine like that way to go man

try wetsanding that passenger headlight too, looks like its oxidized pretty good as well
