crap on my paint

alright so my sister has been driving my tl for a while cus someone hit her old car and well she never got a replacement. well i asked her to bring the car home for me this weekend so i could work on it and when i saw it it was dirty so naturally i thought wash it so after i washed it and used a clay bar. i notice these white foggy spots on my paint kind of milky in color....im guessing its from bird shit. so how do i get rid of this?

What kind of cleaners do you have ? You may just need to spot polish it....Make sure you throw some sealant/wax over when your done thoguh !

It could be permanent. Bird shit, left on a car for more than a few hours in the hot sun will eat right through the clear coat.

With a couple of coats of Liquid Glass on, even "baked-on" bird sh*t comes off easily and leaves the clearcoat intact. What I do is soak up a wad of paper towel with glass cleaner or water to soften up the poo. I just let the towel pick up the poo as it is absorbed and try not to scrub. After several wads, the poo is completely lifted off the paint and I can spray QD and a MF rag and it's back to normal.

Remember not to do this in the sun, as you would just smear the high-fiber poo on the paint and cause it to scratch the paint permanently as you wipe it off.

Unprotected paint/ clearcoat WILL be damaged by the baked-on poo as the acid content is apparently too high. I've had this problem on my old car.

Might be some lime crap from a parking garage...if you try all that and it doesnt come out then it prolly is...get some 100% lemon juice from the store...soak it in....let it sit for 2 minutes then lighty rub with a bug pad or cloth....should start to come out...then apply a coat of wax...hope it works out for ya
