Cold Weather Car Wash

Has anyone experienced a situation where the dealer does not want to provide the free car wash when the temperature is in the mid 30's?

I've got a fair amount of salt on my TL from last weekend's snow removal efforts here in Columbus (you'd think we got 5' of snow for all the salt lying on the roads) and just want to get it off before the next storm rolls in.

I can't envision any harm being done by washing it when the temp is above freezing. Plus, I park in my garage, which is always above freezing.

If the car isn't too dirty, I wash it with QEW

In your case, it sounds like you have a lot of salt on the car. When the car is too dirty, I wouldn't recommend QEW. Unfortunatly, I wait until it's above freezing when I'm able to get out there when the hose won't freeze.

I grab buckets with hot water from inside the house. The dealer always offers to wash it but I turn it down.

I did a good wash last weekend, 50 degrees no problems. This week the temperature is down in the twenty’s! Did anyone have problems with the low profile tires in and “bay” style car was?

I may have to have a drink or two before I can run my TL through a car wash!
