Clear Coat Questions

I waxed up my Jeep a few weeks ago and noticed my pads etc had a red coloring to them,my jeep is red. That is the sign of no clearcoat right? My Jeep is an 87 Wrangler, should it even have a clear coat?

Nope, no clear coat on that year and model. Use a wax on it AFTER polishing it that contains no cleaners about every 4 to 6 weeks. Then polish it well about every 6 to 8 months and apply your wax.

aiet thanks. I was just scared that i ruined the clear coat, i guess that is good to know it never had one lol. yea it is a bitch to take care of but it is a jeep and sees some easy trails and is 18 years old so it has a good excuse to be dirty and not always in the best condition
