Clear Bra and Bug Cleaners
I have had the 3M clear bra on now for about 1 year. Can I use any regular "Bug and Tar" cleaner on it, or do I need a specific cleaning agent as to not damage the clear bra?

Bug and Tar remover, in my opinion would we way too harsh! Another thing you could do is saturate a microfiber towel and lay on the surface(if you can and it will hold), this will soften the bug debris and allow for safe, easy removal......

Treat the clear bra exactly like you would your paint.
I had one on my TL-S for 3+ years. I would wash, wax, clay it, etc. You can use bug and tar remover on it, just not routinely; just treat it like your paint.

I use Turtle Wax's Bug and Tar. It's the best I have found. It's thick so you can let it soak into the bug remains and it leaves a fresh coat of wax when you wipe it off.
I use and orange cleaner on my 3m bra, the Turtle Wax B&T and Megauir's Quick Wax.
I've always said you have to stay on top of the 3m bra and keep it clean. It will stain if you leave stuff on it. I love mine!

When using bug and tar remover you must be very careful on how you use it and how harsh or abrasive it is. make sure to go over the area with something like water and car wash soap to kill any hot chemicals that might penetrate the film and eat at the adhesive.
It is best to wash and wax the film and leave the film be. Usually if there is a bug stain it will bleach out in a couple of weeks and you will never know it is there. It is hard to believe and think about. Trust me I know!! It finally happened to me after installing for six years and two weeks later it was gone.
Good luck and if you need anything else let us know.
