Cleaning under the hood

I was reading another thread about cleaning the engine. My bar is fairly clean but my block has a bunch of gunk on it that has been accumulating for years. I used the engine degunker/degreaser, and sprayed it off with a spray bottle 15 minutes later. I also did it again and scrubbed it with a cloth, but to no avail. Almost all of it stayed stuck on there. Also how can i remove rust and wear on a bunch of the metal things in the engine. Is there a certain brand anyone uses which works best. And do u think if i powerwashed it that gunk would come off? Let me know, and thanks for the imput.

Try some good old fashioned Coca-Cola, That might help in some areas.

Try Wash & Wax. Someone there must have been through this before.

Yea do some searches..

"Engine clean"
"Engine bay"

etc

I know if you're gonna power wash you need to wrap up your electronics.
