Cleaning the new (to me) S2000 tomorrow.

I need to dust off my supplies (literally) and clean up the new car tomorrow.

Here's what I have:

PC 7424
2 Orange Pads
3 White Pads
1 Black Pad
1 Red Pad
Menzerna Final Polish II
Menzerna Intensive Polish
Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion
Pinnacle Liquid Souveran
Blackfire clay bar
Blackfire clay lubricant
Blackfire gel wheel & tire cleaner

Lexol for the interior.

Any suggestions on what to use? Primarily I need to do some swirl removal and get a coat of wax on it for the fall/winter. The S2000 is New Formula Red.

I was thinking:

Wash
Clay
Intensive Polish with orange pad
Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing with white pad
Pinnacle Liquid Souveran with black pad

Do you all think I need to add a step? Use different pads or products?

Thanks guys.

I have not used those particular products before, but I would think you would want to use the paint cleaner before the polish. That way you know you are starting out with a good clean surface to polish out.

How harsh are the swirls you need to remove? If not too bad, I would start out with a white pad to see if that gets you your desired results. Least aggressive approach is always a good first step

Any of the pros correct me if I'm wrong, but with honda/acura's soft paint, I'd go:
wash
clay
Menz IP with white pad
Menz PO85RD (I think thats what final polish II is also known as) with black pad (clean pad often, seeing you only have 1 black pad)
Apply liquid souveran with red pad

This sounds better to me. IP with an orange pad is pretty aggressive on soft Honda/Acura paint.

I would drop the IP and just get some 203S or 106FA then finish up with 85RD.

^^Ah didnt see that. IP+85RD should do the trick then.

OP: Just a tip about NFR the CC is a mix of CC and NFR base so when your pads will turn red don't freak out lol..

I ended up:

Wash
Clay
Intensive Polish with white pad
Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing with black pad
NXT with red pad (forgot to list NXT in the first post)

And yes the white pad did turn red! I was .

Car looks great. I'll try to get pics today.

I snapped these today at the only time I was free: right around noon. So the lighting sucks. But you all are demanding so this is what I have for now.

So I didn't realize until I bought the car that Virginia has gone super cheap with their temporary tags. The dealer literally prints them and then puts them in a thin protective plastic and that's what you've got for 30 days. I can't remove the dealer's license plate frame until the metal plates come or else they'll likely rip off and fly away. I hate driving a Honda with a BMW license plate frame.

Love it I was real tempted to pull the trigger on a pretty low mileage NFR that I test drove a while back. My credit was there, but my income, sadly was not.

Enjoy her in good health

Next to Suzuka Blue, NFR was probably the last color I would have wanted but I needed to buy a car right away and the one I got was the cleanest available within a 50 mile radius.

I'm having a blast. I've put nearly a thousand miles on it in two weeks and I only have a 15 mile commute round trip. I just can't stop driving it!
