Hey guys,

I need to clean the headliner on my 07 TSX. I ended up having Acura re lube my sunroof, and in the process, they managed to get a little lube on my headliner. I initially had them clean the area, but the tech missed some spots. Since I live about 45 minutes from Acura, I thought I'd try cleaning it myself first. If I can't get the spot out, then I will return to Acura. I know that the tech used some kind of foam type of cleaner. It seemed to work pretty well. Does anyone have any advice on how to clean the headliner? The spot looks like a wet spot, but I am pretty sure it's a stain. If someone could help me out, that would be great.

try 303 cleaner. works wonders, i use it and it hasn' t failed me yet.

 

a friend of mine told me that lacquer thinner actually works well. i havent tried it myself, but i plan to as soon as i get some. i would try it in an inconspicuous area first....and dont use paint thinner.

 

i always use blue coral...(or other carpet cleaner), and a micro fiber towel.....spray a little bit of the blue coral on the roof and wipe the area with the towel, it always takes out everything i get, from smoke to dirt and grease i've gotten on it while i was doingsomething and then touched the roof, also if you use a plan cotton towel it will leave lent on the roof....
