clay bar...

wassup guys,


i have never used clay bar on my car and i was wondering which claybars are good and what techniques do you guys use.

also how long does it normally take you?

You should do a search on this topic - there were several recent threads on this subject. Since you're pretty much a I'll start you out with this thread about clay bar techniqes. This one is a recent thread about the same subject. Also check Autopia's "How To" library.

All claybars basically do the same thing and there's only a few manufacturers of them. You can get Clay Magic, Mothers, & Megs at local auto parts AutoZone, Kragens, etc. You can also get them at online detail supply sites like Autopia, AutoGeek, Premium Auto Care, Superior Car Care, Top of the Line, Pak Shak etc.

Do I need to use the lubricant they offer? Or is there a make your own lube guide?

Car wash soap and water work just fine.
