hi guys i was wondering what clay bar you guys use?
i was looking for meguairs clay bar but all the damn autoparts store dont carry it. pepboys u know.
also i went looking for nxt wax, and yet again no one carries it. what the hell!
for bay area guys do you know any local shops that carry them?

the orginal? You do realize clay bars have been around for almost 100 years. Although didn't come to the US until the mid 80's or so. They've been popular in japan forever
also guys, there are only about 2 companies that make paint clay, they just distribute and everyone puts their label on it. So they are all identicle

sigh....yea, you're right, even though it says "original' on the package, i should've known better. I havent been doing this long enough. My bad man, you know everything.

i'm not saying I know everything, but you are gonna take something that is written on a package and think it's true? Come on katana, you should be smarter then that

Actually, it's not all the same...
They have different abrasive properties. (And, yes, if you use the right lube and care, it shouldn't scratch. Some of the “clay challenged” crowd think ALL clay will rip a car apart.)
The red stuff is pretty abrasive.
Also, some people have mentioned that the latest Zaino clay is different. I've got some I bought a year or two ago, and is really nice.
In the end, they're more similar than different and basically do the same job. However, I did get a block many years ago that went straight into the trash after doing some "marking" on some low area of my Bimmer.
