^^ I so wanted a steamer. I took a detail class back in high school days and I loved using the steamer.... I didn't know those thing cost so much.

Your pressure washer is $900?? wtf. what kind do you have? The most expensive ones that I saw at HD was around $300-400.

We use this for pressure washer:

And the steamer we use is probably not the one you are thinking either, lol. Watch this video for demo, turn the volume down.....

Haha, I wish. I'd only be able to justify that if I had a business use for it.

I'm going to try and do a write up on my first ever experience with the PC on my Acura TSX sometime soon as well.

When you have time, please write a full write up...
I am sure I would relate to that when I do my first full detailing.

Okay, my detail bug kicked in.

I am thinking about buying a steamer (home version, not like what Mike has).
These are the ones that I narrow down to:
Wagner 915 Wagner 915
It's on sale for $89, pretty good deal.
McCulloch MC-1275 McCulloch MC-1275
Same price as Wagner, another good deal.

Both got a 4 stars out of 5, which is good rating... Any experience with these?
I want one because not only I can use it towards my car, but also I can let my gf use on her wooden floor since we have two dogs in the house.

Are Foammaster stuff worth a grab?
http://www.autogeek.net/auqufofogun.html

I know some of you pro guys use them, but wasn't sure if it is necessary to have one.
I am aware of that some these stuff can get very expensive, but I found $60 to be reasonable price to me...

Vapamore MR-100 seems to be pretty capable + lifetime warranty.
Don't waste your money on that foam gun. Save your money for pressure washer + foam cannon set up

Am I the only one not finding this product? lol.

Foam cannon's are sweet, and I even have a pressure washer. But I don't wash enough cars enough times to justify a foam cannon. But they work awesome.

And 106FA = SF4000. Menzerna recently released new bottles with product numbers.
Here's a link to break down the others. http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum/...erna-chart.htm

Yeah, I wash my car twice a month, so I don't need a luxury stuff like that... It would be nice to have, but not a must buy stuff.
Maybe later...

Pressure washer makes washing/maintaining the car easier.
Ideally you only want to do one major correction and maintenance buffing once every 6 months/year.
Less buffing = the better = less chance to taking off too much clearcoat over time.
Besides, a good pressure washer can be used around the house, washing driveways and the likes.

Let me put it in perspective for you here.
If you plan on keeping the car for 7+ years, less buffing = eliminates the chance of premature clearcoat failure = no expensive repaint later.
Buffing too much and you run the risk of premature clearcoat failure, and a repaint is pretty pricey if you want done right.

I usually keep cars for two to three years at the most. Lol. So, that is not an issue for me.
I probably get a pressure washer later but not now.

I have a good connection with friends that works at MB, so I am lucky enough to change my car often.
<---- Used to work at Audi/Porsche/MB/VW.

My friends always hooks me up with trade in and good deal on cars...that's why I often change my car pretty often, so keeping cars for over 3 + year is lol.

If you guys ever need a car from MB, let me know... I can always recommend my friend to you guys.

I am giving these guys chance to correct my order before the weekend, if they don't, I sure will post their name and some bad review about them next week.

Do it right please

I for sure can already say NOT AUTOGEEK!!! They have the BEST customer service, and always makes things right! Their customer service and the stuff they carry makes up for shipping when i dont make the $95 free shipping! Acurazine discount! Free sample on orders over $50! I've checked a whole bunch of detailing sites, and no one carries the variety autogeek does! I am an Autogeek!

For your foam gun, get a pressure washer and a homedepot g-foam gun or the foam lance. Probably wont be as good as the foam cannon, but definitely better than the garden hose foam sprayer. I finally pieced my home depot foam gun together, just waiting for the weather to cooperate so i can try it out!

I will agree that the product variety of Autogeek is very nice, which is why I will buy from them when I have to. But other than that, I always buy from a certain someone else.
