Carnuba on Polymer

Used three methods on tsx:

1) Carnuba

2) Polymer

3) Carnuba on pl0ymer.

Like #3 best. This is what you guys told me from the begining.

Thanks for the help. Depth and shine.

First was Mothers Gold carnuba paste. Fine, but does not last long.

Second was clay, four star ultimate paint cleaner and ultimate paint protection. 2 coats UPP, much better than one. Great sharp shine, but looks synthetic on dark paint. Slickness goes away fast but the beading is still there months later.

Third is ClearKote Quik Shine, a quick detailer, on top of the UPP. Gives some depth, fuzzes out the sharpness, and brings back the orange peel hammered look of my crappy paint job.

Like it. Have no idea how I got ClearKote, and I am sure it is the wrong thing on top of UPP, but I'm happy. Everything done by hand, and these are all really easy products to work with. A PC would prolly take longer.

No good pictures, and I have tried. Car camera and sun will never come togeather. Anyways, I cant beat this pic:

hwo much caruba does mother's have? I saw some interesting stuff but they were WAY too expensive. They had like 40-60% caruba content.

Mine says "Mothers California Gold natural formula carnauba wax". "Pure Carnauba Paste Wax With No Cleaners". Obviously this is a lie because on the back it says "Contains petroleum distilates".

What it tells me is that it is not a cleaner wax. % carnuaba is not disclosed. Like wine, there is a pecking order in carnuaba wax and i simply dont care. But i did care enough to grab the paste wax tin and provide the info.

We dont know what these products are made of. Professional stuff is the least transparent. Maybe the FDA should get involved. That would be a help. The Mothers writen description is as good as you will get.

You actually got a better wax there, Mother Pure Carnauba rocks! The "cleaner" aspect of cleaner waxes are just chemical cleaners added to the carnauba, more like a single step products for those quicky jobs. I've used Mother's Pure (paste wax) Carnauba on top of Poorboy's EX-P or Klasse SG and it looks phenomenal on dark colors. Still, my best combo stands= Klasse AIO/ 3 coats of SG and S100, best shine I've ever had, on SSM!
