Buffers work well, but make SURE you use a random orbital buffer. A regular buffer will leave really nice swirl marks. You can get them in the Sears auto dept. and lots of other places.

What color is your car?

How much do you want to spend?

How much time do you have?

What resources are available (garage, driveway, equipment ...)?

My car is silver, I use Klasse Polish and Glaze, plus a few other products. Apply by hand with microfiber towels/pads. The shine last about 6 months in harsh conditions (no garage, city driving).

For a dark color I would go with Zaino or Blackfire products.

Color is dark green.
I have all day.
I have a garage I park it in daily and at workit is covered.
I dont have any equipment. I will buy a buffer if it makes a difference or wont hurt the finish...

Zaino is probably one of the best products I've ever used on mine. It's very easy to apply and take off.
