Car Cover good or bad?

I always used a car cover for my Vette. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure whether the cover was good or bad for my paint job.

My problem is my driveway is surrounded by trees. So pollen, leaves, bird droppings are a huge problem.

What are your opinions on car covers?

Heres my take on it:
They are only good if the paint is very clean and nothing is under the cover but the car/paint.

The cover will end up scratching the paint when it moves if there is dirt under there, and also it is quite a hassle to take the cover on and off.

scratch the clear coat you mean.. you can always polish it to remove swirls

but he's right, the car must be as clean as possible and the fitment of the carcover matters. custom fitment or oem. california duster will help but expect to was your car A LOT.

Take the good with the bad. Decreased U.V. exposure which is great for seating, dash, paint, steering wheel etc. The bad would be micro marring/chafing at curves where wind buffets the cover. Even on clean surfaces, the pure attrition will cause marring. The tighter fit, the better as said though.
