Buying large amount of clay?

Does anyone know where to buy a claybar by itself w/o buying the entire detailing spray + claybar from claymagic, mother's etc.? I have no need for the spray and want a big lump of clay ~400gm bar, but buying 4 kits adds up quick.

because you get the spray w/ mothers (you can also walk into any store and buy the mothers kit, you have to pay stupid shipping w/ zaino). There are two different clay manufacturers (there was a lawsuit going on, it may be down to one) who distribute it and then these guys all put their label on them. However I believe meguiars makes their own clay now.

Yea, I saw the mothers pack Not a bad deal and you get the lube with it.

Do you usually use a "clay" specific lube? I recently tried using Z-7 car wash and water as a lube, but it didnt really work that good. Maybe my mix wasnt right, as the clay kept getting bogged down, ie it didnt glide as smooth as when I was using the clay magic lube. Maybe I should use Z-6 instead next time? What do you suggest?

It does look like the mothers is the same package as the Zaino. Its saying 80 grams...Small, but if your using it on a new car, like I was, I got about 3 uses out of one before it started to get a bit dingy.

no need for clay specific lube. Some people use a car wash water mix. Some people just soap up the car and go at it.

I personally use Megs Final Inspection #34 (I believe that's the #) I have 2 gallons of it, for claying I dilute it 2:1 w/ water, cause it's SUPER slick

i'd try Z6 diluted w/ some water

3M makes a 200 gram bar and is identical to Clay magic. I think I paid about $30 bucks for it. A little steep for 200 grams but I wanted to try it out.
