Buh BYE TL-S, Hello COBRA :)

Well just like many of you on here I have been a long time member and owner of a GREAT TL-S,

I guess you could say after 5 years of owning her and a life time of wanting an 04 Torch Red Cobra, and getting tired of waiting for Vtec... the battle came to an end.

I sold the TL-S which went to a good home and the cobra will now be the wax slut, I will stay a very active member on this great wash and wax forum, honestly the best one, since Ive seen all the others out there... we've got a great community in here! Heres the new wax guinea pig

Here are shots after a full wash and detail, clayed,pinnacle xmt swirl remover, pinnacle finishing polish, pinnacle souvergn. Honestly I wont buy another wax after using their products, I have simply never seen a depth of gloss or water sheeting capability like this company. Enjoy

quite the change from the TL-S eh? what do you miss about the TL and what do you like about the stang?

they are 315, 35, 18's

Well with the high horse power rear wheel drive cars, most guys run drag radials or a really sticky tire for the rear, so putting the same on the front is kind of pointless, so they usually run a good summer tire up front.

A massive change, I would say what I miss the most if I actually had to choose something would be the navigation screen, when going somewhere new you just pop the address in and listen for the directions, with the cobra you have you use your smart phone or but a garmin and such.. not really a huge issue but thats about it.

As far as the Cobra I love everything about it, rides smooth and actually takes bumps better then the TL, IMHO, the power is unlimited and again no waiting for it , I cant even get gas without someone coming over and talking to me about it and how much they love the American Muscle cars.... just a true statement about any American Made muscle car...

Well, on a wax note, the car was done with the Pinnacle Souvergn wax, and oh my lord I have never seen any wax bead, sheet or stand up to water, repel dust, or deepen a gloss on a car such as this wax. Anyone else have similar experience?

OMFG I love that last night pic, looks so damn clean. Is the wax easy to apply by hand or is is something that requires a DA polisher?

Its a soft carnuba wax, you can pop the wax out of the tub and rub in on the orbital pad on the machine, then use the machine to apply it if you prefer, me, I love applying a carnuba by hand the old fashion way, but then again I am partially sick in the head and caress the paint on my cars more then my girls you know what.... wellll ok maybe thats an exageration... but you get the point.

As far as the wax itself, its simply amazing, its a wipe on, wipe off, wax so you do NOT need to let it dry or haze at all, (saving you lots of time) you can layer it multiple times, and I challange anyone to find a wax with better water beading or sheeting ability... pure bliss.

yea i used this product on my friend's black G35 coupe... the only problem is that it is a bit tempermental in very hot weather...

as any wax would be... I love waxing around sunset when things are cooling off, or rainy days, I feel like the humidity in the air helps make any wax you're working with a little friendlier on the elbow

Pinnacle is expensive but maybe worth it... the best in my book i would say is p21s none the less.

Funny you mention, I used that once before with great results.... also a wipe on wipe off product. I had just started detailing then and really didnt pay attention or know to look for the water beading/sheeting capability, so maybe you can fill me in on that with pics or your experience.....

They've also got two versions, their concourse and the regular one... let me know the results of which you used.... the one I had was with the blue lid so I believe the concourse.

My friend just picked one up they are rediculous he just put out 493 whp with very minor bolt ons and a tune.

Sounds about right. These cars, although older from '04, will still dominate and eat for lunch even some of the newest cars around today, with the torque and power hands down.

yeah its from all the torque, mine is around 500 ft pounds of it, and I had my friend in the car who normally drives an escalade... I stabbed it in 2nd and 3rd, and the words that came out of his mouth were hilarious.
