Brake rotor cleaner

I just change to slotted and drilled rotors on Saturday. I washed my car today and cleaned the rotors with a damp towel because of rust. I think that I should clean the rotors every time I wash my car to not let it rust. How many of you did clean the brake rotor after wash your car ? What do you use ?

I don't think you need to cause the rust should go away by driving. I recently cleaned my brake caliper with BrakeBest brake parts cleaner cause my brakes were squealing even though there were still a lot of life in my pads.

Corrosion is normal...Drive it around the block and it will take it off. Pointless to waste your time wiping it off.

Yup, what everyone else said. Couple minutes of driving will get rid of it.

They're made out of iron. They will rust. It's completely normal. As mentioned, a few stops and the rust is gone.

It's actually not new to me , I know it . I just actually want to know who clean the slot in the slotted rotor like me . The area around the hub like telling me to clean it , it's look so nice .
Thanks for the invitation but I can not go so far to Galveston. ( I will look like a noob over there cause I'm just 18 ). I want to clean my caliper too but It's too dirty now . I don't know how to wipe everything off.

some areas on the rotor rust that are not touched by the pads ... paint those areas black with high heat paint, it will look fresh!

you can get it an autozone, or pretty much any auto parts store, make sure its high heat otherwise it will just melt off

Do they have the clear one ? or the black is the best color ? Is that okay if some stick to the wheel ? I don't really want to take off the wheel because I will have to borrow the equipment .

What ever is labeled as "High Heat" paint.
i think it comes mostly in black, but might have other colors.

I just painted my calipers. I took the bracket off and spray painted it with black high heat.
the piston, i left hanging and sprayed it. I oversprayed onto shocks and other components....it wont hurt.
I then sprayed the hub, Some over spray was on the rotor, but it came right off when I drove and used the brakes just like the rust.

Zinc Aero Rotors are available either drilled or slotted, an optional anti-corrosion gold zinc coating benefits those who live in cold climates, where snow and road salt are commonly encountered. Zinc coating also benefits detailers who prefer no visible surface rust on the vanes and outer circumference of rotors - Quick Stop Pro
