Bird droppings question
Hey guys,
I was just curious if bird droppings are harmful to a cars leather interior? I noticed this morning, that there were 2 convertibles at the gym with their top down while they were working out. Anyway's, at the gym that I go to, there are a lot of seagulls that like to hang out in the parking lot. So, I was just curious if a bird were to poop on one of the leather seats, would that cause discoloration? I know that most car's leather upholstery is a covered leather, but I wasn't sure if the bird droppings would eat right through it like they do on paint. Any thoughts?
Thanks much

Sounds funny. I don't understand why people would leave their tops down on a convertible when they are going to leave their car unattended for a period of time.
Seagull droppings are no joke. Their wingspan can reach up to 4 feet in length. Their dropping can pack some serious firepower.
I believe bird droppings are acidic.

Yeah, bird droppings are acidic from the uric acid thats in it.
It eats away the clear coat.
Leave it on for long you'll notice a mark even though you've cleaned off the stuff... (from my experience...)
