Bird Crap on clean car
Bird Crap on clean car
I just cleaned my car the other day and today a huge bird took a huge crap on my trunk. Must be about the size of a silver dollar. Anyway, I dont want to rewash it. I dont want to have to go out and buy anything. It is below freezing here. What would you do to just touch up that area??
I would first off go do something to it right now. I had a bird bomb on my Accord once and didn't take care of it right away. Later it etched into the paint and now there's a big white spot on the paint. Its permanent.
I learned my lesson and now I just go at the bird bombs with Quick Detailers. I use the one for my wax which is the Blackfire.
You can learn alot from www.autopia.org.

yeah u better clean that $hit off right away...bird droppings are supposingly acidic and will eat thru ur clearcoat if left on...i usually rinse with soapy water and wipe off with paper towels...if your at a gas station use the squegees...but careful, some of that gas station water is hella dirty
btw, i pick up my dog's $hit everyday so bird $hit doesnt faze me

I donno where I learned it, but with bird crap if you use club soda or tonic water, it will take it off safer then scrubbing. I always have a terry cloth in the back of my trunk with a small spray of quick detailer. Use water to wash it off first adn then spray the detailer to give a lube so when you wipe with the terry cloth, you won't scrap the clear leaving small marks.
