Bird crap!!

Okay, got home from work today in my new nighthawk black CL-S. Got out of the car and noticed a bird dropping on the hood. I immediately dampened a soft towel and wiped it off the hood. But you can still see the spot where the dropping was. Evidently the bird crap "etched" my new finish. So what's the best way to fix this?

I asked my local Acura dealer about that too. I was told to immediately clean the bird crap off with Windex. He said that the acids in the shit would kill your paint in a matter of day. Doh!

The best thing i found is to wax the shit out of the car, paying special attention to the hood, top and the trunk of the car. As soon as you see bird shit clean it off. As a matter if fact i keep a bottle in my trunk just for that reason.

I hope this helps!

I get bird stuff on my black car too. But since I did the Zaino job, the bird cr-p just comes off cleanly with a wet rag. I had some yesterday that was baked on for at least a week while I was gone, and it just wiped off cleanly. The Zaino guys are right, this is good stuff.
