Big Ooops...
Arg,,,
So I decided to clean and protect the interior of my 1.5 week old TL today.... since it is 15 degrees out I was doing so in the garage.
After one application of 303 on the dash, and Meg's lether conditioner on the seats- I went out for an errand- and immediately noticed that I had very uneven coverage- and that the Megs was much too shiny for my taste.
Back into the garage- but here was my BIG mistake. I plugged in a worklight so that I could see the coverage of product. Used the 303 on the seats this time- and threw out the Megs.
So holding the 303 in one hand, and the light in the other- too late I saw smoke... yes the worklight burnt a hole in the rear seat cushion leather- right about where the underside of the right knee would be for a rear passenger. I assume I just have to live with it... hole about the width of a pencil and a scar about the size of a quarter... Anything I can do to at least keep the hole from growing over time?
Thanks

Take it to a leather upholsterer and odds are they can repair it without having to re-cover the entire seat. It might cost you $100 and it might not look *perfect* in direct light, but I think you'll agree it's worth it.
