I've tried Pinnacle, and Lexol. Out of those 2, Pinnacle wins by far IMHO. Lot deeper shine, and smells better. Also the Lexol leaves your hands feeling pretty grimy. The Lexol cleaner also leaves this hedious yellow dust residue behind which caused me to have to add more water to my wiping towel to get it all off befire I conditioned.

I had 0 problems with the Pinnacle. Worked great, smells great.

I hear Zaino has some great leather cleaner and conditioner also, but I haven't tried it yet. I'll probably pick some up this weekend.

As far as how often, I don't know what the book says, but I normally clean and condition the leather every three months. Keep in mind I don't know what the recommended routines are.

I generally use a warm damp towel (water) on the dash. I don't like putting conditioner on the dash. I looks like shit when it starts to wear off / or if you missed some spots. So for me, only water / and a little cleaner / mainly water using a damp towel. Its a personal preference.

You should not just use water and micro-fiber towels. Your cars dash, seats, etc. need conditioning to keep it from cracking, just water wont do that.

Yea, just use the wet towel, then let dry, and then apply armor all. Finally take your hand and smooth over the dash with more armor all. Works great

You want to put something on the plastic parts, dash, trim.... to prevent outgassing.

Ever notice that the inside of your front and rear windshield have a nasty film on them? That called outgassing. The plastic release stuff into the air and it sticks to the glass.

Try 303 for the dash, it works great. Has UV protection to prevent cracking.

Mantis,

You know better than not to treat your dash living in Frisco!!! The heat is no joke down there man! Drop some protectant like Armor All or even a bit of leather conditioner on the dash to slow down the drying of the plastic.

Keep it soft and moist, just don't let it crack like those old GM cars.

DO NOT USE ARMOR ALL. That stuff is terrible for your dash. Contains no UV protectant, althought they'd like you to believe that.

303 is by far the best protectant out there. Read the detailing forums if you don't believe me.
