Bad wax

When I wax my car today, I found out that my wax has turned into water! The bottle is quite full still, I have only used it twice. Everytime I squeez, lots of water would come out first before the actual wax. Do I need to get a new bottle? Is it caused by the extreme SoCal heat last month? BTW, I have Meg's Gold Class liquid wax.

I have never used that particular product, but I would make the guess that there was just some separation of what actually is in the bottle (ie the different components that make up the wax have separated from sitting). Did you shake the bottle before using it???

Applying some Zaino right now and my wax turned more watery from 5 months in a garage in the SoCal heat. I just gave it a good shake, maybe for like two minutes or so. Its a bit more watery than normal or I just don't remember it being so watered down.

My wax is drying and seems to be working just like how it used to work. Gave it a good shake.

Most waxes are formulated with a carrier system, silicone, mineral oil or an oil/water emulsion. Sometimes this emusion tends to separate out hence the advice by mfgs. "to shake the contents well"

I haven't used this product before, but when it says "liquid wax", isn't supposed to be liquid,...as opposed to paste or carnuba wax? How thick was the wax the first two times you used it?

Shake it like a polaroid picture....

Collinite 845IW does this as well. A good shake mixes it well.

I use the same brand of wax. And yes, it will separate. I just shake it before using.
