There have been a few threads regarding Mr Clean Auto Dry carwash system, so I suggest you use the 'Search' function . But from what I have read, people seem to be loving the system. The starter filter is only good for ~2-3 washes I think. You also have to make sure you spray every nook of the car to make sure you don't get any spots.

I absolutely hated it, can't believe Car and Driver gave it thumbs up! Mine has been in a landfill for many months now...I'm sure it has a lot of company.

It works well if it's not hot and sunny. Yoiu still need to towel dry some areas.

Yep, I have used it several times. It really does work and doesn't leave water spots, but I found it is a little cumbersome to use. Also, GoBig is right.....don't use it in the hot sun, as the sun will dry on water spots before you have a chance to spray the "treated" water.

I used it several times already and I think it is a great product for those looking for a quick wash. But if you are looking to detail your car, back to the bucket and sponge.

As others said it works if you are not in the direct sun, although I found it didn't work as well on glass and the plastic bumpers as it did on the metal.

Also I thought it was super expensive, especially the filters for the drying. I now use Meguire's Tech wash in the Mr. Clean gun (after adding a little water to it because it's so thick) and just use the old "Flush the car with water technique" for drying. It works at least as well.

I got one as a birthday present from my daughter and I personally don't care for it. It doesn't do as good a job getting the dirt off as a bucket and sponge. Furthermore, both the soap and filters are expensive. However, I do use it simply for the nozzle. It works better than the one I had.

I have a whole house filter with activated charcoal which also supplies my car wash water - so mineral content in my water is low. I tried the Mr. Clean system once, as a gift from a loyal customer of mine, but did no think it was worth all the hassle and hype. I find it interesting that P&G has made several "new improved" formulae, and lowered the price. That is, in the retail world, a pretty good inidcator that the product is either a dog, way overpriced, or both.

Maybe others with hard water might like the product more - as for me, I like the magic eraser, not the car wask, so they are batting 1 for 2, or .500. That is Hall of Fame performance, but the "N" is too small for high confidence.

I say punt.
