all you detailing xperts

I have this silver oak next to my driveway...other night I forgot to pull her into the garage (drunk off my ass on the 4th what can I say) and it got rained on...the thing is now I have all these leafspots??? It's like the leaves fell on them overnight and in the morning they got baked in...I tried bug-b-gone but that didn't do anything....help??

i don't have much clay bar experience personally, but from what i hear it removes all the crap off the paint. waterspots, bug residue, tar, pitch, road grime, etc.

anybody know the best place to get one, how much it costs?

You can get a clay bar with lube for 10 bucks at autozone.

It's worth a try. I've yet to be let down by the clay bar...

I detailed cars for several years and I can say that the clay bar is the best place to start and if it doesn't work let me know I got some more ideas for ya.

I personally really like Meguiars Step 1 cleaner. It does a nice job in removing water marks and other paint discolorations, and use it every time before waxing with my choice of polish and wax. Give the Meguiars Step 1 CLEANER a try! Just today I used it to remove some water marks from a friends '49 burgundy Cadi coupe that sat garaged and unwashed for 8 months, and it can really get out tough water spots--

Personally before u clay, Dawn the car. Wash the car with Dawn, let it soak for a minute or so. If that doesn't work then clay it.

I'm a fan of Meguiar's Body Scrub. I just used it on my girlfriend's 94 Accord. It works wonders!
