AIO by hand
What is the best method for applying AIO by hand? Last week I washed, dried, then applied AIO with MF applicator pad. I spent a little time making sure I had covered every part of the panel I was working on, but I didn't apply very much pressure, nor did I spend a whole lot of time on each panel, just enough to go over each spot about twice or three times. Then wiped/buffed lightly with MF cloth. I know a PC would be best, but I don't have one/can't use one (appartment complex).
I am pretty happy with the results, and will be applying Collinite #845 this weekend, but I wanted to know if I did anything wrong in the application, or of there is a need to really work the AIO for a while on each panel to get the best results. Anyone have any ideas? Having never done this before, i don't really know what the car should look like except *shiny*. Thanks guys.

First of all, I would suggest using the Klasse Sealant Glaze (SG) along with the AIO. One without the other has never looked good IMO, unless you use a different sealent or wax in place of the SG (such as a high quality carnuba).
Second, the pads and towels you use can make a difference. I use a quality polishing towel to remove the the AIO, and then a quality buffing towel to remove the SG.
Other than that, it comes down to labor. The more time and effort you spend on each panel, the better it will look. I also apply AIO and SG by hand (although I am looking into a PC), and the extra time and effort really does make a difference.
As jeff5614 mentioned above, Autopia is a great source of information. I learned how to properly care for my car using their guides, especially the Klasse guide.
I hope this helps.

Man, I wish I had found that Klasse guide myself. I really did do a bunch of seaching before I posted, but I guess I missed it. That how-to answered all of my questions at once. Again, you guys came through for a neophyte....
