Advice On Cleaning TSX Wheels
OK. So I've never had a car with "see-through" wheels before. Just what do I clean?
Things do get pretty dirty, but so far I've only soaped and rinsed the outer surface of the spokes(?) - and tried to avoid the visible brake mechanisms. The rear wheels look almost like they can be flossed clear through.
Any tips are appreciated.
Thanks very much.

Samh, suggest you take the wheels off the car and wash inside/outside of the rims. Then apply a good coat of wax on the painted surface. Next time you wash the wheels just use water and a mitt and the brake dust will come off very easily. Don't let the brake dust accumulate on the wheels. That stuff is corrosive when it is wet and allowed to remain on painted surface over prolong period on time.

Go ahead, floss your wheels!
I got my TSX two weeks ago, and did what benggoff suggested -- took the wheels off, cleaned them with soap and water (and a little Eagle One A2Z wheel cleaner), and then put wax on them (actually, Zaino Z2/ZFX). This was straightforward but took about 3 hours of off-clean-wax-on for the 4 wheels, using the car jack.
I bought a soft wheel brush at Target about 6 inches long (+ handle) and reach through the wheel to scrub all the inside of the rims. From past experience, the easiest practice is to clean the wheels every time you wash the car, and do not let the brake dust get too stuck. The wax/sealant also makes it easier to brush off the tar that gets into the rim as well.
For LOTS of info on this and any other car cleaning, check out Autopia (www.autopia.org) and the tutorials there. Here's a link to Tires and Wheels articles: www.autopia.ws/topics.php?topicId=12
Works great, very easy to clean today ...
