Acura TL Detail Issue (clearcoat)

So i just got my 08 acura tl type s detailed because it had many many swirls. Got car back and it looks great. However there are 2 or 3 small spots on the car that look not as dark. Kinda like a whitish glaze. I am happy the way it turned out but i am worried that maby the clear coat has come off a bit or maybe i am wrong. It was done through a family friend who knows what he is doing? so maybe it was nto from him. I just bought the car about 6 months ago and had it detailed a month after i bought it.

Anyways anything I can do to darken and richen back the color?

What are your suggestions.

Thanks

Maybe he forgot to completely clear the compound. I've buffed my car and didn't completely clean out the compound and it left a "whitish glaze". Try to polish it out.

So i tried taking a picture and could not get anything to show up on camera. It is very very minor and can barley see it inless u look real close to the paint with ur face. I have a link to a pic or a similar condition mine is just not near as bad. Today I took detail spary to the area and nothing worked.

Its probably compound residue left over. wash the car, then use 50/50 alcohol/distilled water wipedown to see if it removes any of this "haze".

Always wax after polishing or were you tested the alcohol wipedown

It could be polish residue (haze) or clear coat strikethrough (area that is duller than the surrounding paint), either way use isopropyl alcohol to clean the area and post photos

Detail spray will not affect polish, you need alcohol.

Well I tried getting more photos and its very minor so the camera does not even come close to geting it. However on my buddys mustang he has it all over his car and he said it was from when he used the machine to wax his car. He said he just needs to use a finer pad and it will come out.

This is exactly what I have but not on my car its on my buddys mustang. Mine is not near as bad and won't show up on a camera. Look at the left part of the trunk lid. Some of it is lighting due to where i took the camera but it is like a white haze and not the deep dark look.

Sorry, I do not see it. This is a bad picture to describe what you are talking about. You can try to repost the pic with an arrow pointing specifically to what you are talking about.

This doesn't make sense .. Wax and finer pads arn't relative ...

Now that I read all this I think its hazing from the buffer .. the detailer used a course polish and a cutting pad to get the swirls out then didn't properly polish out the buffer haze.

Anyway ... why are you here stressing over this .. take the car back to the detailer and ask that he fix it. If you put it off too long then he will say you caused it.

Its not uncommon .. I have had it happen .. detailer just didn't see it in his light.
