Acura paint tolerance for wet-sanding orange peel
The orange peel on my NBP '07 TL-S is bad. I hate it. It's all factory paint/clear. I don't have a paint thickness gauge, and can't justify the cost for just my car (i.e. I'm not a professional detailer).
Does anyone have a good feel how thick the factory clear is on 3rd gen Acuras, or Acuras in general?
Has anyone tried wetsanding to remove orange peel on an Acura?

Acura (and Honda) paint in general is pretty thin and VERY soft. Also, it's not recommended to wet-sand OEM paint but I can totally understand where you're coming from. Orange peel is a total bitch.

I also hate the OEM orange peel but it is difficult to tell if your paint is worse than ours without some pics. Post some pics of your paint, preferably a 3/4 view from the rear to see the reflection on the side of your car. Although the OEM finish has some orange peel it still polishes out very nice.
