30 year old paint restoration in process on rare vehicle
Yes, I AM a tease because I'm not going to say yet what the car is. All I will say is that it's a rare vehicle from Japan. ![Thumbs Up](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I'm working with 30 year old SS paint, and you can see below the kind of condition it is in. On the left is after multiple passes with M105/PFW/Makita.
This one is going to be a marathon! Stay tuned...

Sorry, here's the photo again. SOMEBODY infiltrated my photobucket account and now knows the answer (at least he's being quiet). I had to change the name of the album and AZ won't let me edit the original post.
Yes, it's exactly 30 years old.
No, it's not a Toyota Corona.

No, nothing like that.
He did a right click on the photo, looked at properties, and saw that the name of the album was the name of the car. He's sharp!![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
So I went and edited the name of the photobucket album...

Hope you didn't make it the name of the other car haha

I'll throw out two more photos that could potentially be big hints if somebody's really into cars. These are not "finished" photos, so I know there's a smudge here and there, compound in the seams, etc, etc. I'm about 12 hours into it now, and have about another 4 to go tomorrow...

Either somebody's darn good at research, or they REALLY know their cars!
1979 Toyota Century. Hand-built, custom-ordered, and only 200-500 built per year.
I'll give all the specs and details in my thread either tonight or tomorrow. Lots of photos to sort through. I'm 16 hours into it and still not done.
