The video's look interesting. It's caught my interest-especially for a Type S with Brembo brakes.

The question is, do you have to use this stuff when the wheels/tires are off the car? If you sprayed it, will it affect the brakes and rotors?

Guys, there is a "Try It For Free" coupon on the page too. If you buy the Protectant and any other Armourall product ($3.50 and up), you mail in the reciept and the coupon for a full refund of the Protectant. The coupon is in the lower left hand corner of the page.

I know that this is a completelly different product but I tried the Eagle One keep clean and it wasn't worth two shits. It's supposed to go on, leave no residue, and keep your wheels cleaner from brake dust. I applied it as directed but even after waiting a few hours, the residue the product left on the wheels never went away. I spent a good hour wipping away the hazy residue from the wheels. And to top it off, I never saw any improvent in the cleanliness of the wheels.

I would love to see good results from this product but from my previous experience, I'm not biting the bullet on this.

I found some!

I went to Advance Auto Parts and found the stuff for $8.49. But I wrote to Amourall to see if you could use this stuff while the wheel/tires are on the car. I would think you could. I'm concerned about the rotors and brembo's though.

steven, trust me on this one...replace your oem brembo pads with autozone cmax gold pads...almost zero dusting, took me all of 20 minutes to do the job, and all i could think was that i should have replaced the pads the day i bought the car!!

Thanks buddy! My pads are almost ready for replacement (probably the next oil change). I'll definitely check out the cmax gold pads.

So you're saying to skip this product then?

Cute vid.

I'd be willing to try it, but I won't get my hopes up. My wheels don't get dirty in the same way as the vid.

IOW - how will this stuff hold up in heat, hours of wet at a time, etc. AND still not let brake dust build up.

after i made the change on brake pads, i have almost zero dusting, so i dont see a need for it myself, i do try to wash my car once a week, so no need for it...with oem pads, when i washed my car once a week, my wheels were soo dirty that when i hit the front wheel with a hose the water by the wheel was black!!

^^^ Yea, I clean my wheels every few days-especially the fronts! I will definitely look up the Autozone pads!

I did hear back from ArmorAll. They said these will not hurt the brakes. They advise not spraying them on the brakes, but they said they will not hurt them.

Install is easy SB. There can be issues with the retaining screws. Check the 3G Garage, there are good threads with pics. I've done mine 2 or 3 times.

no issues at all, took longer to jack wheel off the ground and remove then it did to swap the pads...

i used one of the diy's for reference...i used the new clips and grease that come with the pads...

all you do is tap out the retaining pins pull pads out, put new pads with some antisqueal grease on shims, and put new clip and the old pins back in...

steven, also get some gloves, i got the mechanix gloves they are sweet...

and i was able to push the brake pistions back in by hand so dont worry about using a c clamp to push them in...

DUH!!

Yeah, Steven, what he said.

Forget what I said about "retaining screws", I was thinking rotors. No issue with just pads.
