I use the sunglass one as well, but I feel like I can't really put anythign in the other one at the risk of the stuff flying out while opening or closing the door.

The lower one for sunglasses and the upper one for change. It never flies out.

I always figured the ones on the roof get hotter than the ones in our door, therefore they'd be bad for sunglasses. Just a guess though

The one one the left on my driver's side is used primarily to hold a magazine holster for my primary carry gun. I removed it's counterpart on the passenger side so that the map pocket on that door would hold a baby Ka-Bar sheath knife. I use the little pocket in the above picture on the right for little grocery store "member" discount swipes and for Tic-Tacs.

I don't like that sunglasses holder. I keep mine in my upper center console.

So my TL doesn't have the sunglass compartment, is it removable? There is also two holes in the movable compartment near the front as well, does something attach there?

The sunglass holders are removable; some people remove them due to rattles/noises.
The two holes are to hold the coin holder, if you want to put it there instead of in the upper armrest compartment-- it's mentioned in the owner's manual.

i prefer the coin holder in the armrest compartment but i wish it could hold more coins or at least more quarters. everytime i leave a bunch of coins in the upper armrest compartment and i open the lower one, all the extra coins fall through the hole and into the bottom compartment.

Its funny, I use that one on the bottom left side for sunglasses like everyone else, but both my Infiniti and Maxima have the sunglass holder on the ceiling overhead and when ever I'm in my TL, I forget this, but always look at the overhead for my sunglasses, then remember I'm in the TL and that they are on the door! I think the TL is odd in this respect b/c don't most vehicles have it on the overhead ceiling area? I think the TSX and RL have that way don't they?

my "sunglass" holders fell out. I tried to put them back in but I couldn't. So now they are in the trunk, thinking about throwing them away as I have no use for them.

thought about that, but im not left handed. plus my off duty carry is now a tarus TCP .380. the extra mag is so small it takes up very litte space in the center console. I'd tell ya where my other bigger back up is located but i'd rather not have alot of people knowing that location...

yea they might track you down from your internet screen name and then steal it or worse jump in your car while you're driving and use it against you

I'm not left handed, either. I just put my extra mag holster in that little "hole". In my center console, there lives two extra magazines, loaded and ready.

Which is why you never want to leave a gun in your car. Take it with you. That's what a carry gun is for.

The key fob for gate access at my complex. Fits perfect in the upper one and never seems to run the risk of falling out with the door opening/closing.

I believe most do. My Toyota and Honda both have it overhead. The TSX has it overhead not sure about RL.

my G8 had that as well, i still find myself pressing a non-existant trap door on the ceiling every now and then.

Cell phone fits nicely in the front pocket - doesn't fall out when door opens/closes. Both reception and bluetooth connections are fine.

I use the lower compartment for one pen.
Upper compartment for a few pennies on the days I accidently overshoot filling-up-gasoline by .01.

lol i drive away if im up one cent. does this make me evil?

also has anyone had their sunglasses scratched in the lower compartment? that piece feels cheap and i feel like a couple bumps or so it will scratch my lens. i tried stuffing my sunglasses in with the carry case provided but it was too big and i love my ray bans.

I took those sunglass holders out of the two front doors and tossed them. I just don't like the feeling of my sunglasses banging around in there everytime I close the door.
