Splash guards (mud guards)

Has anyone colored there guards to match the finish of the car? If so how does it look.

I don't think it would look good... and as time goes by the paint will be chipped away.

I'd say install them as it is or do not install at all. Coloring them with the body color is a big

However, each their own.

I painted the ones on my 2002 Type-S, and i liked the look - and I am very conservative when it comes to add-ons (I hate the looks of the Type-A, for example). Of course, I never liked mud guards except on trucks or my Outback, so I yanked them eventually, and found that their shifting during driving had marred the finish. I had to wet sand and polish out the spots, a 2-hour ordeal I would not want to repeat.

If you know someone proficient with PhotoShop, you could color a set and see how they look - just an idea.
