Possible lemon in all 07-08 TL?

Possible lemon in all 07-08 TL?
I took my 07 navi TL in for a possible defect of the climate control. My climate control seems to be acting up. When the temp. is set to "low", really cold air blows out. As I turn up the temp. all the way up to 86, REALLY COLD air still blows out. The next temp up is "high"...so when high is activated, the hot air starts coming out. Then when i lower the temp down to 70, really hot air still comes out until i hit "low". A/C is set to on btw. The tech people said they could not fix it and don't know what to do. They did all sorts of tests. They then said it was NORMAL because when they pull out a brand new 08 TL with 3 miles on it, it seem to do the exact same thing. I went up there and checked on the new cars for myself and they were all doing it. I never had a problem before and this started a month ago. Sometimes mine also puts out cold air on the driver side and hot air on the passenger side even when 'DUAL' was NOT activated. Can you guys confirm this in your cars to see if yalls are doing it? Check to see if cold air starting at "low" will still be cold at exactly "86" degree setting.
Also I just now noticed that our TL's back doors don't have speakers on them...why is this?

you probably have a bad logic board in the component that tells the system what to do. (if navi, the clock display, if non-navi, the radio screen)
the rear doors don't have speakers as the ELS system in the TL was meant to be under the BOSE system in the RL.

i doubt this helps but i have the same problem on my 02 tl-s. but since i don't have dual, i don't have that problem, just the one when i turn the temperature up and the air blowing out stays cold, and vice versa.

07 tl-s no problem here... did you try it with the car warmed up...
I always hit the voice button set the temp at 75 and roll... you should check the mode... if you are on that auto (which sucks by the way) I would understand the crazy temps...
(don't believe it is a lemon tho )

Maybe it just takes some time for the climate control to kick in and for it to start blowing warm air. After 86 it probably goes into another cycle, something like high. Have you tried waiting a few minutes for it to warm up/cool down?

My 04 with 67,000 miles also does the same thing, but not until the last 6 months. I purchased a thermometer and clipped it to the vent. After the car cools - say at 70 degrees, the vent temperature keeps decreasing even if I increase the temp setting. The fan speed just goes way down. This continues until the I get the temp setting to MAX HOT, then hot air comes out. So I can be going along feeling very cold, with the temp setting on about 80, and the air coming out of the vent at 52 degrees.
I think that the "mix" feature (mixing hot and cold input air) seems to not be working. I am going to bring the car to the dealer in at my next oil change as it has an extended warranty.

06 WDP / 07 WDP Type-S
That sounds very odd. I have both 06 / 07 S, and neither have that problem. You may just need to warm up the car, that is what I would do before wasting time at the dealership.
If your engine isn't warm, even at HOT, the vents will be blowing cold / cool air. You have to let the engine produce some heat for the fans to blow "warm" air.

Clarification to my previous post - after driving the car long enough for it to cool the interior on a moderately warm day - say 72 to 74 outside, then setting the interior temp up to 78, the air coming out of the vent will continue to get cooler and go down to about 49 to 52 degrees.

'07 TL with Navi
and don't have that problem.
So what now ?? When they say they don't know what the problem is, that means they will need to escalate it not just say "we don't know. Go away !!"
