Oil capacity without oil filter

Can someone tell me what the oil capacity is without changing out the oil filter?? Since it is 4.5 quarts with a oil filter change.

Thanks in advance

Infinite, because you can keep pouring and it'll just keep leaking out without an oil filter in place

I run Castrol Edge 0W-20 and change it (and the filter) every 10,000 miles

I still go by the mileage minder. When it gets down to <20%,(approximately 5-6000 miles), I change it right away with NAPA 5W-20 synthetic and either a WIX 51334 or a Mobil1 M104 filter ($9.97 at Walmart) for the '03 TL because it's bigger than the one for the '04+ TL. At 331K, I'm not taking any chances.

it's conditioned based...meaning; if the car senses that it's doing more work, ie; higher RPM's, always in boost, etc, etc. it will decrease faster...
City driving is really hard on engine with lots of stop and go.

The MID oil life is a calculation base on these things.

1. Engine RPM operating range.
2. Ambien temperature.
3. Throttle input.
4. Average MPH.

Keep in mind the newer RDX is a turbo charged motor, unlike your typical WRX running at 14.8 PSI. The newer FI car run 21-24 PSI from factory lol.
