Hey all, I ended up with a worn out primary O2 sensor, replaced it, found out the replacement was defective, and had them send me a new one, it was defective as well...just slower to come up with codes. My fault for deciding to go with a cheap brand, so they refunded it and I'm moving on. What brands do you trust to replace the bank 1 sensor 1 sensor with? I'd rather save some money, but if it's just going to be defective...I don't want to waste more of my time. What brands would be dependable for this?

I beg to differ, Bosch O2 sensors are crap; pick an automotive related board, any board, any manufacturer, and look up the issues with Bosch sensors.

For best results use Denso or OEM Honda.

Yeah, the Bosch folks seem to have done a great job in selling the driving public the idea their sensors and such were top shelf; fortunately forums like this have given the lie to that idea.

So I changed out my A/F sensor on Bank 2 about a year ago.
Bosch is a good brand and it's cheaper, upon inspection, looked A1.
Well.. a year later, it's tripping balls. Now my precat efficiency might be poor, but first inspection looked good.
Going to remove the J-pipe and do a light test. Right now it looks like the sensor went to shit.

Much appreciated all, Denso I go. Relatedly, I see some people suggest when doing an upstream sensor, replacing both is a good idea, should I go ahead and and do that or not worry about it? I'm at 169k and they're the originals, but I am trying to be cautious of my budget.

If I do decide to replace both, which I think I will, anyone have any links to videos of replacing that one, or is that the one right next to the hood latch? I can't find videos and guides on it for the 3rd generation TL. Relatedly, how important is it to make sure it's tightened to a specific torque over just getting a nice solid tightening done on it?

I replaced mine with Denso got it off Amazon when I took the old one out the brand was Denso ,new one had same part number as the old one .

From what I can tell (bloody hard topic to find info on outside of the bank 1 sensor 1), the Denso upstream sensor works for both the sensor 1 and 2 locations, correct? Trying to tell if simply ordering 2 of the below are what I need #234-5010.

Anyone have videos on how to deal with it? Looks like once I have it jacked up it should be easy to deal with, but I'd love to have some reference.
