New Owner of 2007 TL-S

I've just acquired a 2007 TL/S with only 28K on the clock. It's BDP. I'll post some pics soon.

The car runs great, as one would expect. It'll get front brakes soon, and, of course, it would profit from some updating of the "entertainment system."

The car has been parked on the street its whole life and not exactly babied... so it needs a bit of cosmetic help. Above all, the front bumper cover is somewhat torn up, and I assume that's hard to fix, i.e. needs to be replaced.

Unfortunately, it seems hard to find a replacement any way but by calling the dealer and buying a new one -- i.e. the most expensive possible way. If I have to, that's what I'll do -- but not before exploring some other avenues first.

So... any help on how/where one finds a Front Bumper Cover other than the dealer?

(Note: I posted all the above on the new owner sign-in thread -- not the right place, obviously. Sorry... )

welcome to the site, every used car come with some type of damage, as long as you can live with it, that should not be a problem.

Live with it -- or fix it!

Pm-member AckTL05 a vendor on the forums (he does a majority of the brake light modding on here), and also can probably get you the best price on OEM parts. You will have to get it painted tho. It will be cheaper than a Stealership! We also have other vendors who are on this site, and they offer a great discount on OEM parts as well. Check 'em out!

Welcome to Azine!

By BDP I assume you mean Blue Diamond Pearl? If so, the correct color name for the Type-S at least is Kinetic Blue Pearl (or Nighthawk Black Pearl if it's black).

Congrats on the purchase! You've gotten yourself a very nice and fun car. Just try not to be a cop-magnet! It's very easy to do in this car.

Ooops! That would be NBP, I mean -- Nighthawk Black Pearl.

Btw, up to a few months ago I had a 2001 CL/S -- bought it new 6/01 and sold it with @150K on the clock. It was still running great, and the new owner loves it!

Thanks. Long story but really it found me rather than the reverse....

Now I just need to understand whether ALL TL/S's have Brembo calipers, and I can start on the brakes!

yes Brembo brake is standard on all TL Type S regardless of transmission.
