I'm back......'07 WDP TL Type S this time

Well I am back again...... I just bought an 07 TL Type S WDP Auto yesterday after taking a year off from being a TL owner. This is my 4th TL and the one that I have always wanted. My last 05 TL was a pain from day one due to transmission issues (dealer replaced at 1/2 cost) radio issues, DVD/navi issues, alignment issues and many other issues (it was a lemon) so I ended up selling it. previous to the 05 TL from hell I had leased 2 other TL's that were problem free.

I picked this one up from a dealer and I hope I did not pay to much but it was a 1 owner car with a great maintenance history and clean Carfax. It is an 07 WDP TL Type S with 89k miles and it looks mint. The interior and exterior are just amazing and the seats hardly show any wear. I paid $16k for it which some might think is too much, but i have been looking for 2 months and here in California they are not easy to find for less than $20k.

The first thing I will do is get rid of the Type S rims (I do not like them) and I might put on the chrome A-spec wheels if they will fit on this car (someone told me the Type S has Brembo brakes in front and some rims will not fit)

So this is the first TL I have bought with over 80k miles but I just had to have it when I saw it. I know that I will have to have the TB/WP done before it hits 100k but that will be at least a year away.

Jeff

welcome back. FYI all OEM based wheels for the TL (Aspec, base 04-06, base 07-08, and type-s) fit the brembos on the type-s and the 04-06 6MT (equipped with the same brembos). so if you wanna go with oem chrome aspecs (18x8) they will fit.

welcome back to the site, the deal you got is legit. If you end up selling your stock Type S rim let me know, I need a set for winter tire.

Nice!!! I got the same in an 08.

Keep the S wheels for winters? And slap on the ebony chrome A-specs which is what I did.

Welcome Jeff!

I just got my 07 type s NBP and really wanted WDP but the bumper color difference really bothered me do you guys pick up on the difference? I thought the guy selling it was trying to pull a fast one on me saying it hadn’t been wrecked but did some reading and found out its common. In the pic above is really obvious. Maybe I’m just picky!

Yes the bumper color difference is common. This is my 3rd WDP and they all had the difference in color. I am told that it is due to the bumper being plastic and the rest of the car is metal.

NBP was my 2nd choice in color but I just love the WDP

Cheers,

Jeff
