I have a 08 TL Type S and dont; feel every bump in the road, not the minor ones. I had an 04 TL that had Bridgestone LS-Z tires on it and they were stiff and transmitted a lot of the road into the car. But the Michelins on the current TL and Type-S are nice combination of ride and comfort even with the Type-S's stiffer ride. But then the roads I mostly drive are fairly smooth.

My TL can do this, too!
How many miles do you have on those tires? Are they stock from the dealer?
I have 17k miles on my TL. I'm going to get new rubbers probably around 24k-26k miles. God, I can't wait! These Turanzas suck! Not just the bumps but the rumble! Handling is fine; but the noise! Please! Make it stop!

Drop the psi to stock, then get new tires.
My TL feels fine with 26K on the stock Michelin MXM4s at 37F/34R.

I haven't increased my tire pressure even though it is now getting colder and the pressure is getting lower. As such, the car feels less "reactive" on bumps, which is just fine with me.

I've been feeling the same way with my car, dropped the tire pressure back to stock, gonna run it like that for a few days and see what happens, I spoke to my dealer so if all fails I'm taking it back just to be on the safe side - glad to know I'm not the only crazy person who thinks I have a suspension problem, lol

i have a 07 tl-s with less then 300 miles. i feel very bumpy and yes i do feel every bump. my old car which was a prelude and it did not feel as bumpy as the tl. the prelude was much more lower then the tl plus it was stock all around. i guess its the suspension.... wonder if the aspec suspension are the same... bumpy??

i am driving 08 tl loner for 4 days now. it feels much smoother than my 04 tl. wind noise is greatly reduce when the windows are open. On my 04 TL, i can't leave my windows open because the amount of noise it creates

wait wait wait...im gonna jump in one more time......we're not driving S550's so what can u expect from gas struts? the car was really produced for decent luxury, a good amount of power n great handling....for a fwd car.

40PSI cold, that's waay to overinflated, on a 30 degree day my PSI will read around 28F/27R, the ride is nice even with 26,000mi on the car, although handling could be better.

It also depends on the construction of the tires. I've seen tires that when not mounted you can barely indent the carcass when pushing in on the tread. The opposite extreme is that the tread can be pushed in with little resistance. Naturally, less resistance softer ride, so if the tires are of the "stiffer" variety, coupled with the firm TL suspension, end result is what you are experiencing.
