Estimate for parts + labor for timing belt, water pump and motor mounts for '05 TL

I have a 2005 TL that is approaching 100k miles. I know all my motor mounts are broken. So i figured its a good idea to get motor mounts, timing belt and my water pump all done together. What would be a reasonable price for all this? Parts and labor included at a small mom n pop type place.

$800 - $1200 .... depends on dealership and specials.

Check Honda dealerships too; often less expensive than Acura shops.

lol

Buy the Aisin TKH-002 timing belt kit from Amazon for $160
Order 3 motor mounts (OEM is gonna run you around $325 from Delray Acura), XLR8 is going to run you $300. XLR8 ones are supposed to be a lot better.

Reasonable price for labour?
Don't know. You have to go around and ask.
I got my Timing belt service done for $220 labour. So 160+220 for my timing belt service.

You need need the timing belt kit and motor mounts so that's already around $500 for parts.

For labour, expect to pay another $200-$500.

All in all, probably gonna cost you a grand max, for the whole job.

get the thermostat with it, its really easy to replace.

I got my timing belt kit + serp belt + spark plugs + pressure switches all for under 300 and did it with my friend and his dad. Saved a bunch and its running better than ever.

i recommend oem motor mounts got comfort. xlr8 motor mounts if you dont mind some vibration but it will last longer and be better performance-wise

'Round here shop labor is, say $75 - $100 an hour. Doesn't much matter if it's a dealership, a mom & pop joint .... or a mom & pop Acura/Honda dealership.

I'm in the same boat:

$330 for timing belt parts (standard stuff+seals+thermostat)
$330 for engine mounts
$350 labor (independent shop run by a former Acura tech, at $70/hour)
$1,010 total

Why pay 330$ if he just found you a kit for 160$ ? loll ... also this kit is quite cheap:

He can do whatever he wants - I never suggested otherwise. I went with the OEM parts from Honda, and included a few other parts that are either required or generally recommended while everything is taken apart - idler pulley, spark plugs, thermostat, coolant, cam seals, which added to the cost. Just providing detailed information for the man...

Dropped my car off this morning for full timing belt service as well as front brakes + rotors + brake fluid flush. Feel a little nervous - like it's undergoing major surgery!

Needed to vent that - thanks for all of help preparing for this, AZ community!

actual cost for timing belt on a 02 CL type S as of June last year $938 Whitebear Acura MN. Front and side mounts $695....your car is pretty much the same mechanically so the price would not be any different

It is highly unlikely that the rear mount is broke but if it is, it is a pita to change. Trans mount is relatively easy to change as is the front. If your dealer is good, labor for the side mount will be "free" as they have to remove it to do the t-belt anyways.

I just had it done with 90K on my 05 TL at a local garage that has been taking care of my cars for years. Timing belt, idler pulley, water pump, thermostat, coolant. All Acura parts, total cost just under $700. Car was running well before but feels much better now. Will need to do front universals soon (noise at turn lock) and trans fluid

Call around to some shops and ask what they charge per hour for labor, then find out labor hours to complete jobs on your own or from members.
That way you will have the closest est. for yourself.
It would be hard to give a fair estimate unless whoever your asking lived in the same area as you and used the same shops.

Ended up going to All Jap Auto in Lauderhill. They specialize in hondas. Got the timing belt, water pump, front and side motor mounts and spark plugs for just over $1400 including labor and tax. These are with all genuine OEM Acura parts.

Im in Boston, got my timing belt, water pump, serpentine, pulleys and tensioners and engine mound for just under $1300 at the Acura dealer. They also gave the car a test drive and a thorough inspection of everything and let me know what else needs to be replaced (most of what I will do myself for much cheeper, but thanks for the diagnosis Acura!). Also got a loner car which was nice. 2014 ILX 6MT. Not as much ballz at the TL, but not a bad little car.
