Car alarm going off randomly

So my cars been going off the whole night and it's driving me nuts. I found that my car locks but it doesn't give me the beep noise after two clicks. Is there a correlation between these two things? I randomly just buckled the seat belt in the driver side and the car finally beeped and locked.
What gives?

there are sensors on the hood, trunk and all 4 doors.
when one of these sensors senses a door not shut or hood not closed, it wont beep when you lock.

have no clue why a seat belt buckled would make it lock.
