I absolutely love this car, but the continued squealing with my brembo brakes is beginning to drive me insane. At low speeds (i.e. parking lots), the piercing squeal has everyone within distance--including me--wondering what the fugg is wrong with this new car.

I was hoping it would improve, as at least 1 other person has said the noise decreases over time, but I now have 7k miles and the squeal is the same as day 1: loud and annoying.

What's worse, I've had some people in my car over the last couple weeks, and nearly everyone asked if that squealing was coming from my car. I guess I have the dealer investigate when I take the car in for its 2nd oil change, but I know they'll continue to assert that "squeaking is normal with high performance brakes." I would love to know what the folks who work for Brembo have to say in response to this.

I had a similar problem from day one (7 miles) until just recently (~ 1500 miles). I took it out this past Monday night and made several (at least 10) 60-20 mph hard braking runs (one ABS stop included just because I hadn't exercised the ABS yet). Lots of brake dust on the front wheels, but no more squeal at all. I'm not sure how long this will last, though.

BTW - Make sure you're in a cop-free zone. I was pulled over by two patrol cars and barely talked my way out of the ticket. I got a "Fast car you've got there" after he gave back my license and registration and told me to "Go test your brakes somewhere else". :o

(of course I know as soon as I hit the "Submit" button for this post, the squeal will return 10 times louder)
