^^^ will the TLX have a 4 and 6 cylinder variant?

damn, I wish Acura would strengthen their line up rather than weakening it

I doubt the same 3.7's...
if you head to the 4G side, the SHAWD's suffer from oil being eaten.
its only the 3.7l engines that burn oil at this point.

you're the engine guru...what did they change in the 3.7's?????
if i recall, the vtec is on the intake and exhaust sides.
hmmm, any other changes???
rings not seating???

Acura says its "normal"
but i have a feeling they fucked up somewhere and that engine will not be making a come back..

oh boy I think Acura is done here, nothing is up to compete with other car such as 2014 328, 335i, IS350. Acura is now trying to get the people market buy the car by posting MPG saver instead of performance like they did to the Type S.

I just hope the TLX is a bad mofo..
Part of me thinks it wont be, but i think to be positive.
I feel like the 3g TL and 2G TSX combined would make a bad ass car.

I do feel like they are going for more of an economical approach rather than performance, like in the past which stinks
I think they have potential to hang with the a benz or a top of the line beamer.

JD Power seems to think that Mb is more dependable than Honda or Acura...
http://autos.jdpower.com/ratings/dep...ss-release.htm

That being said, I test drove several cars before settling on my TL and at times I regret the cars I passed up. The TL is nice...has been pretty reliable and gets the job done. But it lacks soul. Just that certain something that an Audi S4 or 750il or a C320 AMG (Wasn't US available) have that the TL doesn't.

Anyway, labeling an entire brand or even country's cars based on your experience with one is pretty short sighted.

^ That's why I only mentioned "entry level" models. The ones in your list are superb (though still expensive) and are certainly worth the cost if you can afford it.

Am I wrong in my understanding?
I was looking on Honda's website comparing the specs between the MTs and ATs. The ATs seem to be making more power, better compression, and better economy. Is AT engineering making a comeback or am I just not good at reading numbers?
I'll admit I don't know how to read gearing so I cant comment on their differences.

From Honda.com
2013 Accord V-6
Torque
"252 @ 4900 (6AT)
251 @ 5300 (6MT)"

10.0 : 1 (6MT) 10.5 : 1 (6AT)

18 city/28 highway/22 combined mpg rating for V-6 Coupe 6MT models.
21 city/32 highway/25 combined mpg rating for V-6 Coupe 6AT models *VCM

Similar comparisons can be found between the 2013 TSX MT/AT and the 2013 TL SH-AWD MT/AT.

I guess my (serious)question is what would be the purpose of buying a MT?

My girl has a 04 e320 and the other day the car turned off on us twice standing at a red light and we got it home luckily but when he brother in law went to take it the the dealer turned off another time and turns out it was a cam shaft sensor..luckily her father knew the tech there so she got a discount and paid 300 for it with labor. But sad part car only has like 75 k on it right now. I really like the car but I have seen the hood sensor being replaced twice within a couple of months. But she loves the interior of my type s
