Armrest console padding replacement

my armrest console padding is non existent anymore. instead of replacing the armrest for almost $200, I am wondering if it is possible to remove the armrest cover in order to re-pad it? Has anyone attempted to do this? I appreciate any insights on this.

Thank you

Should be an easy task for any upholstery shop. However, I am not sure how much would that cost. Did you try looking at your local junkyard or craigslist for anyone parting out the car?

This is what you want. Ten times better than OEM:

Yes, and yes; many of us have replaced the padding.
The instructions are in the DIY thread linked in post #4 above.

I bought a new RedLine cover and some of their special padding a couple years ago. Our Pilot has the same problem, but RedLine doesn't sell covers for it so I'll use some new padding and the same leather.

I just completed this 2 weeks ago easiest and cheapest fix to date if you follow the instructions step by step and I went with 1/2" foam as was easier to work with, viagra for the armrest!

Doing this DIY or getting new are your only options likely any used ones will be suffering the same ailment...
