Any non-standard maintenance you do?

Outside of actual cleaning, and the typical line of standard maintenance (break fluid, coolant, power stearing, transmission, oil, filters, plugs, etc. etc.) is there any maintenance you do to keep your 3G purring? I'm running down the list of the few things I still need to get done for my previously poorly maintained 3G and looking for other things I may want to or need to do. Thoughts?

Also, any suggestions for dealing with scratches besides taking it in to someone, or is that my main reasonable option?

If they just clear coat scratches then a simple wash, compound, polish, and wax would do it. By hand would take a long time, you can get a DA polisher at Harbor Freight and then the Meguiars Ultimate for the compound, polish, and wax. you can probably do it for around about 130. you could clay it before the compound and polish if you wanted a full detail but its not always necessary. Claying would most likely add an extra 20-25 dollars.

Compound and buffing would remove what the clay bar removes anyway, so no need to clay bar first.

If something is broken, fix it.

The trick to keeping your car on the road is to inspect it and look for broken components, often.
Fix them immediately to prevent problems and costs from compounding

Note the items associated with transmission (switches, filters, etc) if you have an AT.

As it is I have an 08 TL so no pressure switches or filters for me, just good ATF changes as far as I'm aware to stick to. Doing my #2 of my 3x3 this coming week. Then on to coolant drain and fill, PS fluid shortly, tire rotation with alignment tomorrow, cabin filter once I'm home, etc. Then as far as I know, my car is good besides the #3 ATF 3x3 and just keeping things up. Running better and better.

A fair point on the pressure switches, not sure how I missed that. Probably mixed it up with the AT filter. Think it's worth doing for a transmission at ~183k miles, which I probably won't keep past 195k? Especially as I'd have to get jacks and so on to get that tire off to work on it, I just use ramps at the moment for my fluids. Additionally, would there be a problem just replacing the ones I can access without removing the wheel?

if you don't care about the transmission and weren't planning on keeping it too long anyway, screw it
