I have searched and searched AZ and Google looking for a picture of a NBP Type S with Aspec AND black Type S wheels. So far I have only found cars with 2 of the three components. Anyone?

I simply asked if anyone had a picture of such a car. This forum comes off as very unfriendly and sarcastic with responses as these. If you don't have one, don't post....

Hey man its the nature of the beast in here. Ive had the same thing happen to me when my transmission went out. I had people even tell me I was stupid for wanting to fix my transmission. I truly dont think the guys on here at least of us try to condescending but yeah sometimes it comes out that way. Keep your head up man and dont let this turn you away from AcuraZine!!!

Thank you Njkode, this is exactly what I wanted...I figured someone might have a pic of what I requested. For the record, the picture posted was something I would not have found by any prior suggestions. Sometimes you just need to see something without imagining it, and I suspected that someone had already done the same thing at one time or another. I'm not butt hurt by any of your comments, however if I chose to respond to someone, I try to keep it helpful in nature. Thanks again to those with useful posts.

This forum has changed a lot over the years. It use to be a place to come chat and share info with fellow enthusiats. Honestly there are some things that don't come up in a search. Also, not everyone knows you can google certain topics by adding Azine to your search. I went to a different forum for an 11 year old car the other day and those guys were more than helpful and I'm sure they have heard EVERY question. On the otherhand I would've probably been mocked and subjected to the comments from the usuals in the peanut gallery. The Mods need to do a better job of getting this forum back to what it use to be

I searched this site via google and came up with nothing myself. I'm sure the pics are here but aren't labeled how the OP would have been searching.

As for forum responses... yesterday was just an odd day around here. Think we had 3 oil threads yesterday alone...right after concluding a 5 page thread on oil the day before. It gets to some of the regulars answering the same question over and over.

one statement tho; the one picture that was provided hardly swayed anyone's decision because it looks exactly like every black TL with black factory rims, aspec or not.
and it did not help that the wheel was turned to the side.

I agree with 350-at the end of the day, this is your car BlackFlag. You mod the car to bring out your personality.


Personally, I left the OEM "waffles" on because those "waffles" SAY Type S! Otherwise, if a Type S has aftermarket wheels on, it isn't as much a Type S......but hey, that's just my opinion.


I want to say thank you to the people who helped out on this thread, posted pictures and came back to post in a positive way.

And the comments made by BlueAC are taken to heart by guys like me and ggesq.

I will never consider actually painting the type S masterpiece of a rim
plastic dip em.

If you want a glossy finish on the wheels, you can plasti-dip and then use a few coats of glossifier.

I had black f14s with nbp and I LOVED it especially when clean. Do what you like and be happy with it. Just remember some may dislike it and may criticize it. I got it a lot when I did the combo but I didn't care

I hope this helps lol, it's a little harder to make chrome look convincing because of it's reflective surface.
