I recently bought a used TL. I was told new brake pads were installed. I brought the car to a different station to have it inspected. I asked if they could check the brakes because they squeaked once or twice then. The station confirmed the pads were brand new and did not know what the squeaking could be.

Now 4 months later and the squeaking is much worse, but only under light braking. Do I need to complete this bedding procedure? There is a rust ring around the outer edge of the rear passenger rotor, (where the squeaking seems to originate) should I use sandpaper to try to smooth that out? I appreciate any help.

Resurface rotors?

Ok. So my parking brake needed adjustment and I did that today. When the tires were raised above the ground and spun, the brakes caught in a spot during a rotation - much like as if the rotors are warped. This a possibility? It certainly sounds like its coming from the pads and not somewhere else like where the parking brake would be I assume?

On a side note, this was the first oil change since I bought the car and the drain plug is on so tight I can't get it off and its not completely stripped. Shitty day. I believe my next step is to heat up the oil pan hoping it swells and helps back out the plug. Hopefully a pair of vice-grips will do the trick.
