PAWS Mileage

90% Highway running 62 - 68 mph. 2014 PAWS fronts 34 psi rears 32 psi (cold)

Not too shabby for a large road cruiser on a hot day.

Does this reference to being a hot day mean the AC was on this whole measurement period?? I just picked up a 2014 Advance and was curious about real world mileage on highway. In any case that is really great mileage statistics if the "old school" measurement fill-up reading vs mileage driven coincides with the trip computer readings??

Hope I get close to your results. Demosan

The trip computer is likely a lot more accurate than the "old school" method. In reality, you can never get a gas pump, even the same one, to shut off at exactly the same level every time, so "full" on one fuel-up may be half a gallon more or less on another fuel-up. Trust the trip computer - it's very accurate.

Red face My MPG

I used to think that I did an even mix of city & highway driving but my RLX tells me that I average ~38mph, which suggests that I do more city than highway.

That being said, in the winter I usually get ~24mpg & ~25mpg in the summer; the best I have ever done on just the hwy was ~32. - so right about what the EPA says.

It should also be noted that I have a pretty light foot & try to coast as much as I can (especially when coming to red lights & stop signs) & also paddle shift into 6th as soon as I get over 40mph. Anything to save a penny ...

We had a RX400 hybrid and learned the value of coasting to stop lights, etc. Like they say about the foods we eat, driving patterns become a lifestyle "thing". TSX69, the road was US 64 and the only section driven above 62 mph was the loop around Pittsboro where the speed limit is 65. The RLX PAWS gets great fuel economy when rolling above 45 mph. Stop and start action is another story and is where the hybrid version excels at moving 4000+ pounds to speed from stoplights.

Just back from a several hundred mile road trip with p-aws. Averaged 34.4 mpg. Traffic was heavy so I was not able to cruise for long periods of time. My high on a long trip with light traffic was 37 mpg. Surprising how little fuel this large vehicle uses on the highway.

On the highway I can average 34-35 with low 20's in local driving during the warmer months. A few MPG lower in the winter.

200+ mile 100% Interstate trip with one rest area stop. 34.0 mpg before rest area stop. 35.9 mpg after the rest area stop.

Variable Cylinder Management

Don't forget that the RLX has Variable Cylinder Management which shuts down 2 to 3 cylinders during highway driving. That is where the great mileage comes from.
