KC2 Sport Hybrid Maintenance Intervals
Someone asked in a thread somewhere whether service intervals for the KC2 might be shorter.
They're not. They might even be slightly shorter.
I'm at 8700+ miles and it looks like the percentages will wear down around 9500 miles for the car's first A1 service.

There might be all kinds of bulletins to check this and that, of course.
I know they're a little worried about brake pad life, for example.

Why would they be worried? Aren't the rotors/calipers on the SH SH-AWD RLX larger to begin with? Not only that but wouldn't the regenerative braking system reduce the amount of work the brakes have to do as well?

Hear, hear!
As of this morning's drive, I am at 5224 miles and the oil life is at 50%. It looks like 10k miles for the first oil change, or around a year (I daily drive my V wagon in good weather, so will be putting only a few hundred miles on the the Sport Hybrid from here on). I'm just going by the MID, just like with all my Honda products.
The manual says the first service is A1---change oil and rotate tires.
Just for your info, A6 means oil change and change Twin Motor Unit fluid.

Our little baby performed brilliantly in the 106 inches of snow we've had so far. But for the 100' deep pothole I hit - for which I cannot reasonably blame the car - it has been a joy to drive from Maine to New York this winter. Great car in the snow.

Good Evening everyone:
Back from my cross country flights including an unexpected red eye because of the weather getting into Newark Airport yesterday, I'm a tad bleary eyed at the moment, although with a nasty sun burn from walking on the beach for 2 hours yesterday afternoon. Don't cry for me.
I did what I have always done for the first oil change which was to do it at around 4,000 miles, regardless of need. It is just a thing I have done for 30+ years and have never stopped. The oil was still very clean which is good to hear. Everything was spot on as expected so it was just the oil change that was performed. My MID showed 70% at 4,000.
