Windows up with remote?

I had this feature in my 2007 Accord and 2011 Audi A4 (after a mini hack), is it really not possible to put up the windows with the remote? It puts down the windows nicely, but not up?

The only way I know is to take the key out of the fob and insert it in the driver side door, turn and hold, and that should roll the window up.

still waiting for my new RDX so not sure if it works but try this. Lock the car and keep lock button on remote pressed for few seconds. I have 2010 honda and it opens up windows with unlock button on remote (keep it pressed for more than 3-4 seconds). please try and report your result

that’s what I had tried and assumed would work, but as far as I can tell does not. The owner’s manual talks about putting the windows down this way, but doesn’t mention up. This must be an oversight by Acura?

There has to be a reason for that, we probably just don't know yet.

I think it is a US thing, and the Feds don’t like it. BMWs can go both up and down in the EU, but down only in the US.

It's not Acura, just the overprotective, liberal regulators with a hyper-active concern for safety and protecting the stupid from themselves. Big brother is worried that the unattended kids left in the car will get their extremities caught in the window if you were able to close them remotely without looking. <end sarcasm>

on a US ‘19 RDX? Mine definitely does not work like that unless you hold it down for a long period of time before windows start moving (>5 secs)

Definitely does not work. Tried this weekend. Holding unlock button down will roll all windows and open the sunroof. Holding lock button will not roll the windows back up.

Whoops sory for the misquote, I stated you could close the windows using the remote and I was incorrect. for this misinformation, I apologize to all on this thread..I use the feature to open the windows and sunroof but to close you have to insert the key in the door turn so they will all close. I dont have a solution for all windows up. .

I am pretty sure this was done by am overprotective conservative who had a hyper-active concern for his own safety. Google it!!!

The remote roll up being omitted I bet has to do with the liability associated with parents trapping their children in the windows when they forget they're in the car. Maybe even concern for dogs too lol.

Yanno how we are the US. OH YES I DID FORGET MY KID HAD HIS HEAD STICKING OUT WHILE I CLOSED IT ON HIM AND CHOKED HIM. BUT IT'S YOUR FAULT, NOT MINE!

I don't think that is the case.

I think it is a concern for the DOGS.

This is a feature that's already built into the vehicle. It's just that they have it turned off in the North American market vehicles probably due to some sort of liability when closing windows remotely. It's just a matter of time before we see easy modification that allow up and down of the windows with the remotes. I have the Carista app on my phone that allows modifying remote windows up and down on several different cars, but I'm unsure if they offer it on any Honda/Acura vehicles yet. I know they offer it on virtually all German vehicles and also on most Toyota/Lexus vehicles, but I think they are still playing catch up on Honda/Acura vehicles.
